Regular vs instant yeast?

    I use the Classic Formula and I have regular dried yeast from Costco .  What is the recommended  way  to substitute that for the instant yeast ( I have been dissolving it in a warm water, sometimes from water subtracted from the resicpe, sometimes additional water since I forgot to saved water.). My understanding is need sto be dissolved before adding to the rest of the ingredients.
