This project began humbly, April 2020, with an aspirational and understated donation of 19 loaves created by a handful of pioneer bakers. With each successive donation, our numbers have climbed. Our ranks have grown to a volunteer force of 720 bakers, flour re-packers, drivers, and tech support gurus, and 61 neighborhood hubs, supporting 44 food banks between California, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. To date, we have donated 136,504 loaves which can make a whopping 955,528 sandwiches.
