This project began humbly, April 2020, with an aspirational and understated donation of 19 loaves created by a handful of pioneer bakers. With each successive donation, our numbers have climbed. Our ranks have grown to a volunteer force of 904 bakers, flour re-packers, drivers, and tech support gurus, and 59 neighborhood hubs, supporting 47 food banks between California, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. To date, we have donated 152,365 loaves which can make a whopping 1,066,555 sandwiches.
