Hello baking friends.  In the near future I have been told that I will need to replace my oven.  Does anyone have a good repairman – I would prefer to repair it and have not found anyone able to tackle the job?  Alternatively, are the ovens above still making you happy?  Any other recommendations?  Thanks!!  Michelle

This is such a great question. We recently purchased new ovens, for a kitchen renovation. We had slightly different objectives because I have a Rofco oven in the garage for bread. But I did get double ovens and they are Miele, one is a steam oven and the other has steam assist. We are super happy, although they’ve hardly been put through the paces.

If you’ve not been to the Miele Experience center in Bellevue I recommend checking it out. Expecially with the specific goals you have. Might be a place to start. We’ve had Dacor too and have been very happy. That’s it from this one.

Very exciting new adventure. Keep us posted.

Hi, bakers: my husband and I are fortunate enough to be embarking on a kitchen remodel, and I have the opportunity to buy a new oven. I’d like to do double wall ovens, and I’d love to be able to get to 550 degrees (we make a lot of homemade pizzas) and do steam baking for hearth breads if possible. Does that magical combination exist? Any bakers here have experiences with oven models you would recommend? Thanks in advance!
