As an alternative to the printed scrapers in the future, a raised treatment like on this KAF scraper could avoid the issue altogether.
I had the same thing happen this last weekend. If you don’t mind losing the CL logo, here’s the steps to easily remove the red ink:
- Make a paste with a tiny bit of water and some baking soda, Bar Keeper’s Friend, or Kosher salt.
- With the soft side of a barely damp sponge, gently scrub the logo for a minute or two. Rinse. Repeat if needed.
Other than a very light tint, the red should be gone and no longer bleeding. The gold ink or foil doesn’t appear to bleed and the scrubbing doesn’t affect it much.
