      Got an answer to my question. Thought I would post it incase anyone else has the same question.

      Hi Lynn,

      Yes, both the plastic bowl and SS bowl are heat safe. Depending on the thickness of the fudge I would maybe suggest the SS bowl with the roller and scraper rather than the beaters that go with the plastic bowl. Hope this helps.

          I would reach out to http://www.ankarsrumoriginalusa.com with this question and see what is possible for fudge. Great question, I hope you can. My grandma made fudge until nearly 100 years of age and I marveled at the strength of her arm.

            Looking into getting an Ank. My non bread question is: can you mix hot things in it? I make fudge and need to mix boiling sugar/butter mix with chocolate. I don’t think it can be done in an Ank. I currently use my kitchenaid for this.
