Breader Together Portland Pizza Party!
Save the date and plan to join us, Wednesday, September 1st for our first Portland Community Loaves gathering. This lovely event is being organized by Food Bank Liaison, Julie Corpron and is being hosted on the beautiful grounds of Mary Sherman and Vern Nelson backyard garden, often featured in garden tours.
All volunteer bakers are invited, and you can even bring a potential baker recruit. We will extend the invitation to our local food pantries as well so you can begin to meet and hear how our bread is being received in their relief efforts. Our Community Loaves founder, Katherine Kehrli, loves pizza and plans on joining the festivities.
This is a terrific opportunity for us to get to know one another informally, outside and safely. Fresh wood-fired pizza will be our evening treat. Bringing a salad, side dish or dessert to share is helpful, but not required. We hope you will join us.
