      Anne,

      You can simply taste it. If it is “off-tasting” then it has likely turned. The mix has good shelf life, especially if stored in a cool location, but the almond meal is the most sensitive ingredient. You should be able to taste it, and know if the oil in the almonds has gone bad.

        How do I determine if my cookie dough mix has gone rancid? or is no longer usable before baking?
