        No, you do not need to keep refrigerated if you are donating within a day or two, thanks to the sugar! But if you want to make in advance, you can freeze. And you can freeze the thumbprint alone, take out of the freezer, bake and pipe. (Ahem, pipe once cooled.) 🙂

              Just read through the cookie recipe and watched the video.  Two questions.

              1) Can we use any non-purpose flour?  (I do not have the flour referenced in the recipe as I only keep flour on hand to make the modern formula.)

              2) Since the buttercream frosting is butter, do we have to refrigerate the cookies between making the frosting / frosting and dropping at the hubs?
