Congressman Rick Larsen recently visited the Edmonds Food Bank, highlighting the ongoing efforts to support community members in need. Larsen emphasized the critical role of federal funding in helping food banks provide essential services, particularly during the pandemic. The visit also shed light on the various challenges faced by food banks, including the rising cost of food and the need for increased support from the community. Larsen’s tour underscored the importance of continued collaboration between government agencies, local organizations, and volunteers to address food insecurity and ensure that everyone has access to nutritious meals.

The Edmonds Food Bank is served by some of our organization’s largest and most active hubs. Since partnering with the Edmonds Food Bank in early May of 2021, Community Loaves bakers have donated a staggering 7,196 loaves and 4,965 energy cookies to help put whole grains on the tables of their neighbors in need.
